In order to provide a positive, productive, fun experience for all, Shanita Dixon Photography requires that these policies are observed and practiced:

Photo sessions are available by appointment via online scheduling application or email and require a deposit equal to or greater than 30% of your session total, made payable through PayPal or Square. The Photographer will reserve the time agreed upon for the event date and will not make another reservation for the agreed upon time. For this reason, the deposit is non-refundable. Once received, an invoice, contract, and confirmation email will be generated for each session and sent via email. Booking fee must be paid in full prior to the start of the session.

While extenuating circumstances are to be understood and assessed accordingly, we are unable to accept general tardiness exceeding 15 minutes without prior notification. Out of respect for the next guest, no additional time will be added due to tardiness and the full session fee is still required.

As a courtesy, please do not arbitrarily invite guests on set. While we understand support in some creative sessions and wish to create an accommodating atmosphere where necessary, we require that any guests have been approved prior to your session. Upon approval, guests that disrupt the flow of the session will be asked to wait in another area, or, in extreme circumstances, must leave. This rule of dismissal is to be enforced at the discretion of the Photographer, and I promise we still love you a whole lot. Just over there.

We get it -- things happen when we least expect it. The great thing is that you are able to reschedule at your convenience through the booking app to secure the next best available time for your session! If within 12 hours before the session time, please inform Shanita immediately. In the event of emergency or inclement weather, please contact Shanita prior to your session start time for options to reschedule.

We'd hate to not be able to take care of you, but if necessary, cancellations are to be made no less than 24 hours prior to our session time and are to be confirmed in writing via email. Please be aware that although the session has been cancelled, the deposit fee is non-refundable. Upon request, the deposit may be used towards a future service but is not assumed to be applied.

These images and moments last forever, so we want to capture you at your best! It may sound silly to some, but please ensure that your attire is well-fitting, free of stains and pet hair, and as wrinkle-free as possible. These corrections add on to the amount of time taken in post-production/editing for each of your images, and may incur an additional fee. Professional makeup is not mandatory, but highly recommended. If you do not have an artist in mind, I am able to suggest a few!

The Photographer reserves all copy rights, including print, to all images delivered. Print release forms and packages are available upon request. If these images are to be displayed and shared electronically via social media, they must show credit to Shanita Dixon Photography, or on Instagram, @nitadee. While we are aware that "Valencia" is a very nice filter, we request that you do not apply secondary filters to images, as they degrade the quality of the photos. Special consideration has been taken into the color, tone, brightness, and composition of your photographs, and unapproved alterations are considered as copyright infringement. This includes cropping out watermarks and re-editing. If the photos are to be used for branding and marketing, please advise any design teams to keep this in mind and to maintain the integrity of the images.

Relax, be yourself, and don't worry -- This is a space for you to be your best self. Shed your inhibitions and create! We've got you covered, and you're likely to be in charge of the AUX cord/Bluetooth speaker, so let's jam out!
